 About Me

I believe massage therapy is an important part of an intergrated health care regimen, combining traditional western medicine and alternative wellness practices. Massage therapy is also one of the best ways to relax and rejuvenate your body and mind. Massage therapy is my career and my passion. I am visually impaired. When this impairment caused me to reevaluate my situation in life, massage therapy provided me a valuable set of skills and the confidence to use them as a career.

My visual impairment has dampened my sense of sight, but has allowed my sense of touch to grow in acuity. Touch is vital for navigating and interpreting my environment. As a result, my body is especially sensitive to all things tactile. In training to be a massage therapist, one is taught to “see” the body with their hands; I have been using my hands to “see” for years, thus this concept comes naturally to me. From the time I first make contact with your skin, to the gentle, finishing touch; I am mapping out the deep intricacies of your body. Using years of experience feeling my way through the world, I can find where your body wants, and needs massage.

My training includes modalities ranging from relaxation and deep-tissue massage to neuro-muscular therapy and Thai yoga massage. I incorporate these various styles of bodywork to create a fluid, dynamic massage tailored to your wants and needs. It is my goal, and my promise, to have you feel comfortable and relaxed, and help you achieve balance in body and mind.
